Chemical Safety & COSHH Assessments
ST&L work with clients with industrial and chemical processes to prevent the unintentional releases of chemicals or other potentially dangerous materials during the course of chemical processes. Such releases could have a serious effect to plant safety, the environment and moreover the safety of their workforce. Chemical safety involves, for example, the prevention of leaks, spills, equipment malfunction, over-pressures, over-temperatures, corrosion, metal fatigue and other similar conditions.
- Survey and review of work requiring the use of ‘substances hazardous to health’.
- Assistance in the preparation of COSHH assessments and initial appraisal of ventilation equipment.
- Where necessary, atmospheric monitoring and laboratory analysis may be arranged using specialist subcontractors.
